Deaf, tattooed, and employed was a passion project that was built from recognition of my own self worth and the desire to break down barriers, stereotypes and stigmas. While traveling abroad in 2018, I made it my personal mission to learn about the deaf and hard of hearing communities in different parts of the world, from connecting with a deaf village in Bali to meeting the founders of a hearing technology museum in Buenos Aires, in addition to sharing stories of my own experiences with hearing loss.
